any C.C. owners who have the KF-82 engine this is for you if you have to do any carb work or carb related work.......there is a bracket that holds the gov. linkage in place above the carb and you need to remove it if you have to take the carb off......this bracket is held on with two 10mm bolts and you need be very careful as to not break either of these bolts and beleive me it dosn,t take much to snap them.....i have seen it many times and once you do its even harder to get the broken peice out.....why am i posting this because that head cap is very very hard to come by and if you can find a new one ( not easy ) it costs almost 200 american dollars.......another thing is the pilot jet on top of the carb for some reason they work their way out and all of a sudden your cart runs like crap....another part not easy to get......i thought i would post this for you so you can keep it in mind if you find yourself having to remove that bracket for any reason, i have had several customers come to me in the past 2 months all who did the same thing break one of the bolts and really bugger things up trying to get the broken stud out.......i now have a list of names of people i have to find the head caps for..............hope this saves you a headache.................................... _________________ Tom.................if i didn,t like them so much i wouldn,t touch them. |
