AT YOUR OWN RISK
To Check Solenoid on a 36 volt or 48 volt:
Step #1:
Take the solenoid out of the cart completly. Leave the diode in place on the solenoid. Where the Foward/Reverse 7/16' bolts hold the F/R on the cart loosen one of them and place it under it and tighten it back up to hold it.
Any place to hold it would work.
Step #2:
Take a jumper and hook to the main - of the battery pack. Then connect the other end to the - side of the small terminal of the solenoid. The terminal with out the white band of the diode is the - side.
Step#3:
Take a jumper wire with alligator clips and place on the + of the main battery pack. Then take the other end and touch the + side of the small terminal with the white band of the diode and see if it works.
You will hear it and see it move. This worked for me. I check all of them before I throw them away. It has served me well. _________________ 04 PDS Ezgo
